📖 Installation Guide

Step 1: Download the Plugin

Download the digital-rise-image-optimizer-pro.zip file from our website.

Step 2: Install the Plugin

Option A: Via WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)

1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New
3. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top
4. Click Choose File and select the downloaded ZIP file
5. Click Install Now
6. Wait for the installation to complete
7. Click Activate Plugin

Option B: Manual Installation via FTP

1. Extract the ZIP file on your computer
2. Connect to your server using FTP (FileZilla, etc.)
3. Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/
4. Upload the digital-rise-image-optimizer-pro folder
5. Go to WordPress admin → Plugins
6. Find “DIGITAL RISE SOLUTIONS IMAGE OPTIMIZER”
7. Click Activate

Setting Up Image Optimization

1. Go to Image Optimizer → Optimization in your WordPress menu
2. Configure your settings:
   • Max Width: Maximum image width (default: 1920px)
   • Max Height: Maximum image height (default: 1080px)
   • Target File Size: Desired file size in KB (default: 50KB)
   • Compression Quality: Balance between quality and size (default: 82%)
3. Choose whether to enable Auto Compress on upload
4. Click Save Settings

💡 Pro Tip: For product images, we recommend 1200px width and 60KB target size for the best balance of quality and speed.

Adding Keywords for SEO

1. Go to Image Optimizer → Keywords
2. Enter your keywords in the text area (one per line)

Setting Up Watermarks

1. Go to Image Optimizer → Watermark
2. Check Enable Watermark
3. Configure your watermark:
   • Type: Site Name or Custom Text (Pro)
   • Position: Choose from 9 positions
     • Top Left, Top Center, Top Right
     • Middle Left, Center, Middle Right
     • Bottom Left, Bottom Center, Bottom Right
   • Opacity: Slide to adjust (0-100%)
   • Size: Percentage of image or fixed pixels (Pro)
4. Click Refresh Preview to see changes

Bulk Optimizing Existing Images

1. Go to Image Optimizer → Bulk Optimize
2. You’ll see:
   • Total images in your library
   • Already optimized images
   • Remaining images to process
3. Choose options:
   • ☑️ Apply Watermark (if enabled)
   • ☑️ Apply SEO (ALT text, rename, description)
   • ☑️ Re-optimize already optimized images
4. Click Start Bulk Optimization
5. Wait for the process to complete (do not close the page)

⚠️ Important: For large libraries (1000+ images), run bulk optimization during low-traffic hours. The process is server-intensive.

Enabling CSS & JS Minification

1. Go to Image Optimizer → Settings
2. Find the CSS & JS Optimization section
3. Enable options:

   • ☑️ Minify JavaScript
4. Add exclusions if needed (one handle per line): jquery-coreelementor-frontend
5. Click Save Settings
